Everyone loves spinning up massive cloud infrastructure. Absolutely nobody loves figuring out who has to pay for it.
That’s where I come in. At Motorola Solutions, I’m a full-stack data engineer in FinOps, taking high-velocity streaming data and reverse-engineering it into beautiful showback models so the math actually makes sense.
I am deeply wired for optimization. For me, getting a system from 0 to 90% is just proving that it works. The part I actually love is the battle from 90 to 100%, that obsessive grind of chasing down every edge case until the math and the architecture are absolutely flawless.
I live for the adrenaline rush of catching a massive anomaly right before it burns a hole in the budget. And honestly, even when a predictive model completely misses the mark, I love playing detective to figure out exactly how and why the data behaved that way under the hood.
If you see me around, come say hello :)
